Sat, May 7th, 9 am untill 2 pm (but you may finish sooner).

RAIN/WEATHER DATE: An alternate day will be determined with participates

BONUS-GLAZING DATE Thursday, May 5th between 2 pm - 8 pm: We are
offering extra time for you to come in on Thursday, May 5th, any time
from 2 pm until 8 pm, to work on your resist techniques, decorating and
glazing your Raku pieces. **YOU ARE ALSO WELCOME TO GLAZE ON SATURDAY, MAY 7TH**
The additional day was added to allow you more time to get your glazing and decoration completed.

Students will fire up to 4 pieces that are up to 9" tall and up to 6" wide maximum. You can choose from a variety of Raku Glazes that we have for participants such as White Crackle, Turquoise Crack, Lithium Slip, Copper, Bronze, etc. A lid does not count as an extra piece, but the overall height of a lidded vessel should be a maximum of 9" high.

CLAY TO USE: We suggest using Danish White, Soldate 60, or Raku Clay which you can purchase at Mud Puddle Pottery Studio. B-Mix 5 has worked well for several clay artists. You can call us to discuss what to use. The pieces need to be dry and brought in by April 30th if you would like us to bisque fire for you.

BISQUE FIRING DEADLINE if you are bisque firing at Mud Puddle Pottery: Mud Puddle Pottery Studio will bisque fire your pieces for the workshop, which is included, but you must bring them in totally bone dry by Saturday, April 30th to catch the bisque firing.  If you are running behind in making them, you can put them in your oven "under" 200 degrees for a couple of days, or as needed, to dry them. We do this all the time and your oven will use very little energy doing this.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR THE FIRING: Students will need to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes for safety. Pulling your hair back is suggested.

WHAT TO BRING:  Bring your lunch and beverages for the day.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Rain/Weather Date will be determined with participants if needed.
If in the event that you would like to request a refund, it must be made by Saturday, April 30th (A refund will be an amount paid less $35 to compensate for the reservation system and credit card fees and supplies that have been purchased for the workshop). After April 30th, we can issue an online credit of $65 toward a future class or workshop. There are no allowances for credit after April 30th or for No Shows because all glazes, resists, materials, propane, supplies, etc, will have been purchased for the workshops and we are limited for the number of seats that we can offer.

You must agree that Mud Puddle Pottery Studio, owners, those assisting and also participating in the workshop will not be held liable for any type of loss or injury.

Please email info@MudPuddlePottery.com or call at 615-646-6644 if you have questions or concerns.
