"Broadway Nashville" LARGE CANVAS Abstract Acrylics Painting Workshop with Lynne Looney

LEVEL 2: Intermediate and up (Students that have taken a workshop or classes in Acrylic or Oil
NO DRAWING SKILLS NECESSARY: Lynne provides a template of the main elements of the painting.
Includes: LARGE CANVAS 24x24" Heavy Duty 1-1/2" THICK gallery wrapped, acrylic mediums and paints, use of brushes, and palette knives.
Students will be using brushes, palette knives, cards, acrylic paints, and medium to create textures and layers, and contrast. Lynne will guide students step-by-step through the process of building multiple layers, dimensions, and textures. Students will create this representational abstract of Nashville's Broadway! Everyone's painting will be totally unique.
SUPPLY LIST: We encourage students to bring their favorite brushes, palette knives, and maybe some of their favorite Acrylic paint colors if they would like to. Everything is supplied for the workshop, but it is enjoyable to work with your own tools if you have them.
Lynne’s workshops and instruction include the fundamentals of mixing colors, application techniques, and using complementary colors throughout the process. Lynne will encourage students to explore and experiment with style and form, and she is very hands-on with the students.

Lynne Looney is a full-time, professional artist with a formal art degree. She has been painting for 40+ years, producing large-scale murals, billboards, set designs, special events, and corporate and private clients. Her work features bold colors, expressive brushwork, and multi-textured surfaces.
