Beginner to Intermediate Pottery Wheel Series

beginnerwheel1Beginning students will learn the basics of throwing clay, centering, opening, pulling and shaping.  They will be offered some project challenges and techniques to keep it interesting and fun! We begin each class with demonstrations and throwing techniques each week, and offer hands on assistance throughout the class.  We begin each session with the basics of throwing bowls, then trimming and tooling, and follow with cylinder shapes.  At the end of each session we instruct glazing applications.

Cost: $185 (Clay $18 & Tool Kit $21 available at Mud Puddle Pottery Studio)

Eight Week Series

This series meets on Thursdays. Choose one: 10 am-1 pm or 6 pm-9 pm!

Intermediate Pottery Wheel Series

intermediatewheel1Students will experience new techniques and a new project each week for the first 6 weeks of the class series.  The goal of this class series is to advance their throwing skills. As their skills grow, they can continue on to the Advancing classes, where the projects become more challenging and the students are also offered a different wheel technique each week of class, covering a series of projects each session.  The last 2 weeks of every session will be glazing.

Cost: $185 (plus additional clay as needed)

Eight Week Series

This series meets on Mondays 10 am-1 pm


Blended Intermediate to Advancing Pottery Wheel and Hand Building Series

advancedwheel1Students will learn a new project each week for the first 6 weeks of the class series, building skills, advancing their knowledge and abilities. Exceptional classes that will engage the student and challenge them to move forward toward their goals. Glazing application and techniques on week 7 and 8 of the class series.

NOTE: This is a blended class with some students doing Hand Building Techniques.

Eight Week Series

Pottery Wheel Date Night
